Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,350 meters on the Politses plateau, Aoos Springs Lake is one of Greece’s highest artificial lakes. Created in 1987 for hydroelectric purposes, the lake has since become a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its pristine waters, surrounded by dense forests and alpine meadows, offer a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist spots.
The lake is nestled between two national parks: Valia Kalda and Vikos-Aoos.
